On June 28, the second meeting of the women's national teams of the Czech Republic and Ukraine within the framework of the European Golden League-2023 will take place in Tabor, Czech Republic. The result of this match will give us the name of the team that will go to the finals of the competition.

The first match between the teams in European League-2023
The first semi-final match of the teams took place at the nominally home arena of the blue-yellow team in the Romanian city of Piatra Neamts. That game ended with the triumph of Ivan Petkov's wards with a score of 3-0 (25:22, 25:23, 25:17). Despite this, it cannot be called an easy victory. Because our opponents had a chance to catch on, at least for one of the sets. In particular, they led 19:21 in the first set, and 14:18 in the second.
However, it is worth paying tribute to the Ukrainians who, thanks to their willpower, literally fought for every point and caught up with their opponents. This affected the psychological state of the teams in different ways and eventually led to an incredible spurt of our athletes in the final set: when losing 11:14, they won 12 rallies in a row.
Traditionally, the best scorer of the debut match was Anastasiia Kraiduba, an opposite player of the National team of Ukraine. The volleyball player earned 20 points. Meanwhile, middle blocker Magdalena Jehlarova became the most effective player on the Czech team with 10 points.
Regulations of the competition
According to the results of the group stage, the semi-final pairs were formed: Ukraine - Czech Republic and Sweden - Belgium. The teams determine the finalists, and then the winner of the main trophy based on the results of the two-match confrontation.
In the first meeting, the Ukrainians beat the Czechs — 3-0. While the Swedes overcame the resistance of the Belgians on a tie-break - 3-2. The final games will be held on July 6-9.
The two best teams of the European Golden League 2023 will take part in the Challenger Cup, a qualifying tournament for the Nations League.
