The League Cup semifinals program opened with a match between "Balta" and "DobroDiy-Meduniversitet-ShVSM". In this confrontation, there was a clear favorite - the club from Vinnytsia. In both matches of the championship, they needed the minimum number of sets to win. However, today there was no doubt that "Balta", which the day before very confidently beat "National Team of Ukraine U-17", will not look like an extra.

So it happened. The match, which fully corresponded to the status of a cup, in general, began very unexpectedly: the Balta team took the lead with a handicap of "+4" - 8:4, 9:5. Yuliia Yakusheva, the head coach of "DobroDiy" was forced to take a time-out. The break benefited her players, and they managed to win the first half of the set (13:12). In the second half, the team from Vinnytsia developed their advantage. In the final part of the set, they reached the "+5" mark (22:17), after which "Dobrodiy" became a clear favorite to win the set. The Balta team did not give up and took three rallies in a row, but it was not enough. "DobroDiy", although not without effort, managed to take this set - 25:21.

In the debut of the second set, the leader of the championship did not allow failed segments. The team was constantly in the lead, and even in the first half of the set they reached a comfortable advantage of 7 points (12:5, 13:6). In the second half, this handicap was increased by another 2 (17:8), after which there was no doubt that the team from Vinnytsia would win the second set in a row.

After a ten-minute break, "Balta" did everything possible to create intrigue in the match. She led with a score of 6:1, forcing Yuliia Yakusheva to take a timeout. However, the first half of the set was entirely for "Balta" - 13:5. At the beginning of the second half, the Vinnytsia players halved their deficit (10:14), after which the head coach of "Balta" Serhii Koltsov took time out. After the break, his players tried not to lose the initiative and they succeeded: "Balta" won the set with a score of 25:18.

In the debut of the fourth set with a score of 4:3 in favor of "Balta", the players of "DobroDiy" took 7 rallies in a row on the serve of their leader Valeriia Yakusheva, thus creating a comfortable advantage for themselves. In the second half of the set, Vinnytsia club continued to dominate. In the end, they won both this set (25:15) and the match overall (3:1).

"DobroDiy-Meduniversitet-ShVSM" became the first finalist of the League Cup, thereby writing a bright page in the history of Vinnytsia volleyball!
