On April 3, the underdog's tournament was opened by the representatives of Vinnytsia VC "MHP-Vinnytsia-ShVSM" and the team from Lviv "Barkom-National Team of Ukraine U-18".
The beginning of the game was equal. From time to time, one of the teams took the lead (4:1 - 9:12), but later the score was equalized again (12:12 - 16:16). The end of the first set was tense (23:23), nobody wanted to concede and the volleyball players of both teams tried not to make mistakes. The "youths" managed to successfully end the opening set - 25:23.
In the second set, it became clear that this match would not end with an "easy" score: MHP volleyball players seized the initiative and seemed to act quite confidently (7:4). However, Volodymyr Romantsov's players have been a difficult opponent for a long time: they quickly closed the gap, winning three rallies in a row (7:7), and then took the lead (13:11). The coach of Vinnytsia resorted to the substitution of the setter and the opposite players - Andrii Stebletskyi appeared on the court of the "PVLU" arena instead of Viktor Ivashchenko, and Danylo Uryvkin replaced Mykhailo Yakushenko (13:13). Then again there was an equal struggle, which ended in success for the representatives of Trostianets - 25:20.
Inspired by the victorious set and having replenished their reserves of strength during the 10-minute break, the Vinnytsia team began to act very harmoniously. Meanwhile, the U-18 team made more and more mistakes with each next rally. And so everything turned out like this and "MHP" won the second set in a row - 25:17.
The fourth set was the last in this meeting: although Kostiantyn Riabukh's team lost at the beginning of it (0:3), they quickly gathered themselves and with joint efforts "took a course for victory" (6:6 - 9:6). The residents of Vinnytsia allowed the opponent to score only 15 points in this set - 25:15 and 3-1 in favor of VC "MHP-Vinnytsia-ShVSM".
Serhii Mishchenko, the outside hitter of MHP, became the most effective player. He scored 25 points and received the MVP award.
