The second match for third place
Chernivtsi Arena "PVLU". April 1, 2023
The national team of Ukraine U-17 – "Alanta" 0-3 (12:25, 17:25, 13:25)
The second match for bronze awards in the championship of Ukraine lasted no more than three sets. "Alanta" once again proved to be stronger than the U-17 team, and now it is only one victory away from the coveted historical medals.
As in the previous match, the players from Dnipro entered the court in a good mood and transformed this energy into a starting lead — 1:4. As for the blue-and-yellows, it took them a while to enter the game, due to which there was some misunderstanding between the girls in the final stage of the attacks. Almost every "pipe" combination ended with a shot into the net - 4:9.
The organized block of Gariy Yeghiazarov's team is worth noting, it forced Volodymyr Podkopaev to take two timeouts in a short period of time. However, their vis-a-vis acted evenly throughout the entire set, and even such 30-second breaks did not manage to knock down their winning pace - 12:25.
In the second set, the picture of the match changed, because the representatives of the Dnipropetrovsk region continued to dictate their conditions on the court. Although the U-17 team did draw certain conclusions after the unsuccessful previous segment and managed to improve their performance — 17:25.
The third set (0:5) began with the spurt of "Alanta", which, of course, did not add confidence to the national team U-17. At a certain point, they managed to slow down the rush of their opponents and stabilize the situation on the floor, but not for long — 13:25. So, Yegiazarov's team won another convincing victory and doubled the score in the series.
