On December 20-22, 2022, the Volleyball League Cup among men's teams of the Professional Volleyball League of Ukraine will be held in Chernivtsi.
At stake is not only the trophy but also participation in the European Cups in the 2023-2024 season
According to the results of the second round of the men's Super League-Budinvest, the teams ranked 1-8 will form playoff pairs: the first will play with the eighth, the second - with the seventh, the third - with the sixth, the fourth - with the fifth.
On December 20, four matches of the 1/4 finals of the League Cup 2022 await us.
11:00 VC "Prometey" - "Security Police-ZUNU-Dynamo"
The Dnipro-based "Prometey" and the Ternopil-based "Security Police-ZUNU-Dynamo" had the honor of opening the series of quarter-final matches of the League Cup 2022. In the current season, these teams have already met three times: all matches ended in favor of Andrii Levchenko's team (3:0, 3:0, and 3:0). However, this is a completely different tournament and format without the right to make a mistake - a playoff in which favorites can become outsiders and vice versa!
Both "Prometey" and "Security Police-ZUNU-Dynamo" have some problems with the team: injuries, and illnesses still haunt some players. However, we are sure that this will not prevent athletes from demonstrating high-quality and interesting volleyball!
14:00 VC "MHP-Vinnytsia"-ShVSM - "The team of the Poltava region. VC Reshetylivka"
Only two weeks ago, these teams met in the Super League-Budinvest match. And today they are opponents in the quarterfinals of the League Cup 2022!
VC "MHP-Vinnytsia"-ShVSM is now in good shape and is in the top three of the championship of Ukraine. Instead, "The team of the Poltava region. VC Reshetylivka" was located in the lower part of the tournament table. However, the new format of the League Cup - play-offs - is a great chance to try to compete for medals! On Tuesday at 14:00, we will check who will take advantage of this precious chance!
17:00 VC "Zhytichi-Polyssia" - VSC "Law Academy"
Perhaps one of the most unpredictable matches of the 1/4 finals of the League Cup 2022: the Zhytomyr club "Zhytichi-Polissya" will play against the Kharkiv team of VSC "Law Academy".
A few seasons ago, it was these teams that played against each other for the bronze awards of the championship of Ukraine: the winner of that fierce duel was the team from Kharkiv. Since that time, principled matches with a completely unpredictable ending always come out between these teams a priori. On December 20 at 17:00, we are looking forward to the confrontation between Zhytomyr and Kharkiv in the League Cup 2022.
20:00 "Epicenter-Podolyany" - "Barkom-National Team of Ukraine U-18"
The day of the quarter-final matches of the League Cup 2022 will end with a confrontation between the most experienced and the youngest teams: "Epicenter-Podolyany" - "Barkom-Ukraine National Team U-18".
The team from Horodok is definitely the favorite. However, we expect that the team from Lviv will be able to impose a fight on the current champion of the country. And to give all fans of Ukrainian volleyball an intriguing game evening.
