The program of the second circle of the Super League-Dmart was closed by the match between Ternopil "Halychanka-ZUNU" and "Ukraine National Team U-17". Only one of the two teams - the national team of Ukraine U-17 - had the opportunity to move up in the standings if successful. The confrontation between the rivals in the first circle turned out to be "fiery". At that time, Ternopil players were stronger than their opponents, but they were able to prove it in only five sets. Today's match also promised to be intriguing.
In the first half of the opening set, "Halychanka" achieved a slight advantage - 10:7, 11:8, but a few minutes later the national team of Ukraine U-17 was already ahead of their opponent - 14:12. At the end of the set, the "national players" were closer to victory in it - 21:18, 23:20. Volodymyr Podkopaev's team managed to take advantage of their chance and took the lead in the match.
In the second set, as in the previous one, the opponents took turns leading. Quite naturally, only one point divided the teams at the equator of the set - 13:12 in favor of the U-17 national team. At the beginning of the second half, the "national players" pulled away from the opponent by 4 points, and then managed to maintain their advantage, succeeding in the second set in a row, putting the opponent in a critical position.
After a 10-minute break, Liudmila Chornenko's team did everything they could to change the course of events in their favor. They led in the opening of the set at 2:0, and 5:3, but then lost the initiative. Even during the first half of the set, their gap was 4 points (8:12). In the second half, the team was constantly in the lead, and at the end of the set they had the right to three set balls, but they failed to use them. And yet, thanks to the opponent's mistake on the serve and their own ace (Veronika Tverda), the national team of Ukraine U-17 won a well-deserved victory.
This success allowed Volodymyr Podkopaev's team to take 4th place at the end of the second circle with 15 points.
