On Thursday, as part of the second match of the 1/4 finals of the men's Super League-Budinvest, the VC "Prometey" and "Security Police-ZUNU-Dynamo" teams met on the court. Dnipro entered this match as a favorite because they already had one "easy" victory in the treasury.
However, it didn't happen as expected: Ternopil players came to the "PVLU" arena full of energy and desire to take revenge (9:5). "Prometey" equalized the score several times (10:10 - 14:14), however, this did not stop the courage of the Ternopil. They confidently finished the set in their favor - 25:21.
In the second set, Andrii Levchenko's team immediately got into the game and acted more concentrated than in the previous episode (10:6 - 19:14). But Ternopil players did not give up hope of victory in this set as well. In the end, the players of Dnipro turned out to be stronger - 25:22.
Then there was a 10-minute break, after which the fight started again (4:4 - 10:10). In the decisive moments, the Dnipro players used their powerful serve, which caused considerable problems for the opponent - 25:21 and 2-1 in favor of the nominal owner of the court.
The fourth set was the last, although the "policemen" fought to the last point. Still, the preparation and class of VC "Prometey" were higher (8:4 - 16:13). In the end, 25:21 and 3-1 in favor of Andrii Levchenko's team.
The most productive player was the attacker of "Security Police" Vasyl Uhman (18 points).
The MVP prize went to an outside hitter of VC "Prometey" Ivan Kryvobok (12 points).
