The eighth round of the women's Super League-Dmart will include five game days and nine matches, which will take place from January 25 to 29 at the "PVLU" Arena in Chernivtsi.

The central match of the tour will take place right at the height of the battles: on January 27, in the so-called Dnipro derby, SC Prometey will meet with Alanta. In addition, it will be a battle between the leaders of the championship, who are in second and third place respectively.

According to the head coach of the "red and whites" Andrii Romanovych, it is practically impossible to determine the winner ahead of time.

- Now you can definitely predict that the game will turn out to be interesting. But what the result will be is unknown. The practice has shown that the match can end in favor of any of the teams both with a "dry" score and in a tie-break. Of course, both sides will try to win, - explained Romanovych.

The U-15 and U-17 national teams of Ukraine, which are in the second half of the tournament table, will also face the Dnipro teams in the reporting round. Despite the current situation, they know how to adjust to such games and put up a decent resistance to the favorites. It is worth noting that in the near future, someone from the representatives of the blue and yellow team will still manage to win because a face-to-face meeting awaits them.

The sole leader of the national championship "Dobrodiy-Meduniversitet-ShVSM" is currently in excellent shape. Vinnytsia team can boast of a winning streak in the Super League-Dmart, which consists of eight matches. The ninth will be against SC "Balta". By the way, the teams played against each other in the semi-finals of the League Cup, where Yuliia Yakusheva's team triumphed (3-1).

As noted by the coach of the Baltia, Serhii Koltsov, in order to take revenge on "Dobrodiy" for the aforementioned defeat, his team needs to improve its defensive actions as a whole. Another problem for "Balta" was the departure of the main setter Olena Elkina.

- First of all, in this round, I want to check how well Anastasiia Berezovska can cope with the role of a setter. After the departure of Olena Elkina, we have a problem in this position. The main goal remains to demonstrate the highest quality and combination game, - Koltsov concluded

In the 8th round, representatives of Odesa will play only two matches, the second of which is against "Halychanka-ZUNU". We would like to remind you that not so long ago, almost all members of the Ternopil club suffered from an illness, because of which they even withdrew from the League Cup.

After the last match with "Prometey" as part of the Ukrainian championship, the captain of "Halychanka" Valeriia Dromova said that not all volleyball players had time to fully recover. However, the athlete hopes to improve the situation as soon as possible. Let's add that in addition to "Balta", the players of Liudmila Chornenka will also meet with "Dobrodiy".
