In the last quarterfinal match of the League Cup, "Budinvest", as well as in the morning confrontation between "Prometey" and "Security Police-ZUNU-Dynamo", was a clear favorite. It could hardly be otherwise in the confrontation between the championship leader "Epicenter-Podolyany" and "Barkom-Ukraine U-18 National Team". Of course, the club from Horodok had a better chance to reach the semi-finals.
At the same time, it was quite possible to hope that the youngest Super League team would be able to show decent volleyball. However, from the beginning of the match, the club from the Khmelnytskyi region clearly dominated on the "Malenkyi Paryzh" court - 11:4 in their favor. And in the future, despite all the efforts of the youth, the advantage of "Epicenter-Pololyany" was obvious. At the same time, the backlog of the U-18 National Team of Ukraine according to the results of the starting set remained at the "-7" mark.
In the debut of the second set, the youngest team of our championship made a very worthy resistance to its leader, conceding only a few points. At the same time, the coaching staff of "Epicenter" carried out a wide rotation of the team. The team from Horodok achieved a decisive advantage already in the second half of the set. After its end, the scoreboard registered a 9-point advantage of "Epicenter".
The third set was also the final in this match. The favorite of the match started the set with a spurt of 9:2, 13:5 and in the second half of the set also demonstrated his high class, allowing the youth to score only 9 points.
Having won with a score of 3:0, "Epicenter-Podolyany" gained the last ticket to the semi-finals, in which they will play against "Law Academy".
