Representatives of Vinnytsia and Poltava regions met in the penultimate match of the regular championship of Ukraine. The starting set took place in a calm and equal struggle (14:14), but two consecutive blocks of "Reshetylivka" changed everything (16:14), then there was an ace from Oleksii Drofa and in the end, the set was won by him, and his teammates - 25:23.
The second set was also equal until the middle of it (9:9), but then the captain of "MHP" Bohdan Tatarenko appeared on the court of the "PVLU" arena, replacing Oleksandr Lukianets. This substitution paid off - the team from Vinnytsia took the lead (20:16) and later won their first set in this game - 25:18.
After a long break, Oleksandr Frolov decided that it was time to change something: the captain of "Reshetylivka" Nik Sotnyk moved to the opposite position, and Anatolii Fudar took his place as an outside hitter. It was an even fight, but we know that in volleyball every mistake is important, and their number in the attack (8) did not allow MHP to become the leader in this set. 25:23 and 2-1 in favor of Poltava residents.
The fourth set took place under the dictation of "Reshetylivka" (17:14), but representatives of Trostianets tried with all their might to bring the game to a tiebreak (18:18). They were close to victory in this set, but... the Poltava team did not slow down and did not lose their concentration - 26:24 and 3:1!
The most productive player of the match was the captain of "Reshetylivka" Nik Sotnyk (25 points).
The MVP prize went to Reshetylivka's libero Anastasii Ostroumov.
