"Barkom-National Team of Ukraine U-18" - "Security Police-ZUNU-Dynamo" – 3:1 (25:21, 22:25, 25:21, 25:16)
On April 4, "Barkom-National Team of Ukraine U-18" and "Security Police-ZUNU-Dynamo" were the first in the underdog tournament at the "PVLU" arena. In the first stage of the Ukrainian volleyball championship, these teams played three matches and all of them ended in a tie-break - two in favor of Ternopil, and one in favor of the U-18 team.
Their next meeting began with a tense struggle in which the teams either led one by one in the score (7:9 – 13:11) or kept the balance (21:21). As a result, it was the volleyball players of the Lviv club who managed to play better - 25:21.
In the second set, the situation was repeated, although closer to the equator, the "Security Police" was able to get a minimal, but necessary advantage (15:11). The main task became the preservation of these precious +4. The players of Ternopil coped with this task perfectly - 25:22.
After the break, Volodymyr Romantsov's team took the lead: captain Yevhenii Boiko made an ace, and Maksym Svyrydov and Andrii Cheleniak did an excellent job with the attack (5:1). The "policemen" were able to catch up with their main opponent (10:10 - 12:10), but they could not keep the pace of the youngers' game - 25:21.
The fourth set was very similar to the previous one: the "youth" dictated the race of the game, to which the Ternopil players could not adapt in any way (5:3 - 10:7). In the end, Lviv players were more emotionally charged and desperately wanted to win today's match - 25:16.
The most productive player was the captain of the National team of Ukraine U-18 Yevhenii Boiko (22 points).
The MVP prize went to the libero of "Barkom-National Team of Ukraine U-18" Mykola Dzhul.
